The blog site of www.finalfling.com says, “Welcome to Final Fling. I’m delighted you’ve found Final Fling – a community to help you accept mortality and plan for the end.”

The website offers menu options to choose from which are incredibly helpful:

10 Step Guide: the ‘when someone dies checklist.

10 things to do – whilst you’re still alive: your wishes, a safe deposit box?

mylivingwill pamphletThis website is thoroughly comprehensive and thought provoking.

It offers the facility called DOCUMENT BUILDER which guides you through a decision-making process to create two documents.

One document is your own personal Advance Decision (others sometimes call this an Advance Directive) which addresses the medicalizing of dying and the choices we are faced with in a world in which there are increasing end-of-life medical options.

The other document is called an Advance Statement and it addresses your lifestyle wishes.

The questions posed may cause you to reflect. This is not a quick fix one pager with six questions, such as Do you want CPR resuscitation YES/NO?

In my view it’s best to create time to do this undisturbed, and to know that maybe you might complete the document over more than one sitting. But then we are all different -perhaps a dedicated focused session might be your preference.
